The church in Sidney got its beginning in the spring of 1938. The members who started the church met in their homes for the first couple of years, just as the early church often did. In 1945, the members purchased a building on Wapakoneta Avenue in Sidney, and it was called the Central Church of Christ. The church met at that location until 1983 when they moved to its current location on Broadway. The name was then changed to North Broadway Church of Christ. North Broadway Church of Christ endeavors to stay true to its roots. We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, and we must obey it to the fullest. We are dedicated to spreading the Word of God to all the world as Jesus commanded us to do. We are promoting the 1st century church in the 21st century. We are to do as the early church did. Be faithful in teaching, fellowship, the Lord's Supper, and prayer. As Christians we have some liberties . "Where the Bible is silent, we are silent." Because of this we do use musical instruments in our services.
